That Sun 02:44
put away the heavy coat, loosen the noose from around our throats and throw the windows wide open. Pull out the wind chimes and let them turn above our head while the fire burns our skin. We've been in the dark for so long. Holy hell, that sun, I want to curl up in it. Holy hell, that sun, why don't you give me a minute or ten to gain back my weary heart again. Clear the ground from around the buds and let the sunshine warm our blood and put stars in our eyes. Roll our sleeves as high as they'll go and let's not speak of those without homes. She's in and she's here to stay. Put away the heavy coat, loosen the noose from around our throats and throw the windows wide open.

Mister Moon 04:45
There’s a girl of seven years, her hair’s tied up in curls, she holds his hand on a warm summer's night. He makes a space for her, the largest place in his heart, she dances on his feet and tastes the sweetest candy. When the night falls, she looks to the sky. Mister moon, does your daddy dance with you in June, mister moon, sing me a midnight tune. There's a girl of eleven years, they're on the road and he is steering. She gazes out the window as he drives her to and fro, and the face on the horizon, her eyes are on him. He holds out his hand and offers her the sweetest candy. She looks to the sky and says mister moon, will the night be over soon, mister moon, sing me a midnight tune. There's a girl of seventeen and she's the queen of his heart, she holds his hand as he catches her fall. Her hair's in braids, she makes the grade, he invites her to the floor. He opens his hand and together they dance, and it's sweet like candy. She looks over his shoulder. Mister moon, does your lover give you room. Mister moon, sing me a midnight tune. Everyone falls, everyone crawls, everyone waits for their mother's call, but father father follows you wherever you go, following you home. There's a girl who keeps the future of the world in a box by her bed. She holds the stars in her hand and she drops them thread by thread. He holds her hand and gives her her favorite candy. And they share a grander plan. And together they dance again. Mister moon, does your daddy dance with you in June? Mister moon, does your lover give you room? Mister moon, will the night be over soon? Mister moon, sing me a midnight tune.

Is that all you got she said to the sky she said why do I even try at all? Is it all for naught? She said with a hot cup of coffee in a conversation with life. Cause all of the fools follow all of the rules, they wait in all the lines. Arbitrary fairies, flitting from tree to tree, arbitrary fairies, wondering who to be. I gotta get out of this, and let my muscles sit, and let my thoughts ferment 'cause the fractions don’t make sense, it’s a wild wilderness. A 2/6 life crisis, contemplate what life is, and what it is just might hurt and be ⅓ of what we deserve. Is that all you got, just some bills to pay just to fill our space and time? I think we forgot what it’s not to forgive stupidity, the greatest crime of all. All of the fools live to play by the rules, they wonder what it’s all for. Arbitrary fairies, flitting from tree to tree, Arbitrary fairies, wondering who to be. I gotta get out of this, and let my muscles sit, and let my thoughts ferment. Cause the fractions don’t make sense, it’s a wild wilderness. A 2/6 life crisis, contemplate what life is, and what it is just might hurt and be 1/3 of what we're worth. What it is just might hurt and be way too absurd for what we deserve and what we're worth. What we deserve, oh and what are we worth?

You Are 02:08
Oh my dear, oh my friend, there's so much to say and so little time to say it in. Oh my dear, banish that wretched mirror. If I held all the cards I'd leave it to shards so's to make you freer. Oh my dear, after all of these lasting years, you know what it means to feel like you're thirteen and to wish you'd disappear. Each passing glance adds a year and you deserve a life without tears. And you'll learn to embrace the paths on your face as a showcase of laughter and cheer. Oh my dear, oh my friend, don't you know you don't have to pretend you're beautiful, 'cause you are, you are, you are.

The news arrived today, it’s time to go away to greener pastures, but we’re only half sure it’s the right move. We’ll wrap the glass and ask ourselves how, how do we know? How will we ever know?Pack up all our things, and see what the future brings. Take one final look around, before leaving it all behind, there’s a new home to find at the end of Sunset Road, so let’s go say hello. So go ahead and prune the peach trees, and keep all the bees, keep them happy, and you can ask me for all the keys that you’ll ever need. And clear the ivy and weeds away from the back fence and make fast friends with all the owls and fowl in the fall. We’ve left remnants of love in the ground under the lilac tree. Take one final look around, before leaving it all behind, there’s a new home to find at the end of Sunset Road, so let’s go say hi, let’s go say hello, let’s go wipe our feet on the patio, let’s say hi, let’s say hello, and let the new souls down the street help us, help us with whatever we may need. The news arrived today, it's time to go away, time to go away...

To the Water 03:48
They both wanted it, they planned and they prayed for it they stayed up late at night. They stayed still as as the winter trees listening for whispering of life. The roar of the silence, and the raging quiet , The echoing from down below. All of the why's in the world couldn't even help their hearts. To the water they go, to the edge of the ocean. To the water they go, to edge of the wicked world to bring them back to life. The signs are on the street, they’re in the sky and they’re on their feet The road goes on and on with the bad and the backward blood, she’s on the floor holding back the flood. And the roar of the riot, the raging quiet, the echoing from down the road. Dolphins keep their distance, they can hear her, they can feel her. Dolphins keep their distance, they can heal her, they can heal her.

The Piano 02:18
Broken keys and strings that snapped a long long time ago, a surface worn and faded, unwanted and free. Nowhere to sit, nowhere to be except left in the dark and dusty, the life she held left behind along with echoes of times gone by, fading with the filtered light, bearing the burden, bearing the weight, bearing the handles that ten hands should elevate. Down the stairs and through the door to a silent corner, where she waits, she waits patiently, she waits for their hands to bring her back to life. Still she plays, still she sounds, still she sings.

Leave the Light On (Lyrics) One AM, only one on the road, the car is full and my hair has fallen, The lipstick’s long since worn away. One-fifteen, pains in my feet, I’m wired and tired simultaneously, I’m still riding a high from a night in the lights, I’m a sight to see, but I’ll come in quietly.I won’t make a sound except to slip off my shoes and to lay my body down beside you. I’ll match my breath to yours, let it rise and fall, till the first sign of dawn if you leave the light on. One-twenty-two, still got so much to do, I’m left wondering what’s it all for, exhaustion creeps in the back door.Baby I don’t mind leaving it all behind, lord knows it’ll all be there tomorrow. The blanket’s pulled back and the curtains are drawn, I’m still a sight to see, but you’ve left it bright for me. I know you hate it when I’m home so late. It's the life we chose and it's the price we pay to live that way, but we’ve got it made.
